TRIQUETRA - The interwoven symbol of three loops has many meanings, but most often is representative of the Triple Goddess in Celtic/Pagan Faiths. The Triple Goddess being Maiden, Mother and Crone. It is also used in Christian beliefs to symbolize Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Most believe that the Celtic Symbol predates the Christian use, but there is little evidence either way.
