Stunning necklace I have created with a lampwork free form focal pendant my husband created. I have strung it on Beadalon 49 strand beading wire, with Sterling Silver Bali beads and bead caps, Swarovski Austrian Crystal beads in light topaz AB and Blue Pacific Opal, with Smokey Quartz, Sesame Jasper and Amazonite gemstone beads. The center dangles are on Sterling Silver Curb chain, and the ends are finished with Sterling Silver crimped loops and a Sterling Silver Lobster Claw clasp. Great color combination, beautiful gems and the pendant is spectacular! My husband's talents are getting quite remarkable! I'm so proud of him! I LOVE the free form things and I hope he comes up with MORE!

Amazonite is a wonderful stone, a beautiful aqua shade, that comes in light and dark varieties. It has warm, loving energies, that brings about a very peaceful feeling. It is a stone great for aiding one with their intuition and psychic abilities. It is soothing and calming. This is one of my favorite stones!!
Jasper is a stone that comes in many different varieties and color patterns. Jasper takes upon itself an incredible responsibility to protect against negativity. It is a very "earthy" stone, using the energies of the earth for stable grounding. Jasper is used to balance the Yin Yang energies and to align the Chakra energy centers, great stone!!
Smoky Quartz is a type of Quartz, dark brown to light brown and gray in color. Most of what we find in beads or in jewelry has been heat treated to create the color. The metaphysical properties remain the same, as this does occur naturally as well, and causes the same condition. Smoky Quartz helps to remove negativity by softening up the negative energies, thus allowing more positive attributes to take it's place. It's very subtle and gentle in doing so, making the transition easier. Indeed, all actions of Smoky Quart are subtle and rather slow to get started. It also balances out the Yin Yang energies and assists in balancing the physical and ethereal bodies. Silver is a wonderful metal for use with gemstones, it can take on and absorb the properties and energies of the gemstones it is in contact with and act as a conductor for those energies for the wearer. Silver is associated with the element of Water and directly correlates with the energies of the Goddess and the moon. It is also a metal to aid in drawing prosperity. To increase the properties and energies of silver, expose it to the light of the moon, especially the full moon.
My wonderful husband Trent is now creating gorgeous Lampwork Glass beads in our studio in Batavia, Ohio. Lampworking glass to create beads is an ancient art, and has changed very little throughout it's history. Glass is melted in an open flame, today we use a torch, and then wound on a mandrel, shaped by rolling and moving the molten glass, and by using hand tools, then the bead still on the mandrel is annealed in a kiln to give it strength and durability. Lampwork beads that are not annealed could fracture and break because the glass did not cool slowly enough, this is called thermal shock. ALL our lampwork beads are properly annealed in a REAL kiln, NOT a "bead annealer".
